Dr Kasun Vithanage
Director | MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Kasun Vithanage graduated in 2011 and successfully completed the Australian Medical Council (AMC) examination in 2013. He commenced working in Australia in 2014 and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2019.
Dr Vithanage has worked across both metropolitan and rural Victoria and has been serving the Gippsland community since 2017. He brings extensive clinical experience and leadership to Morwell Medical Centre, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
He has completed dedicated training in Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) joint injections, offering treatment options for patients with chronic musculoskeletal conditions, particularly involving the knee and shoulder.
Dr Vithanage is also passionate about medical education and has been actively involved in teaching medical students and GP registrars for many years. Outside of work, he enjoys cricket and has been a player for the Yarragon Cricket Club since 2020.

Dr Sashika Kankanamge
MBBS, MRCGP[INT]
Dr Sashika Kankanamge graduated in 2012 and has extensive experience in medical practice. She holds the MRCGP [INT] qualification from the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK), along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.
Dr Sashika Kankanamge enjoys caring for patients across all age groups and has experience in general practice, emergency medicine, women's health, mental health, and preventive care. She is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care and believes in building trusting, long-term relationships with her patients.

Dr W.A.W.R. Kumara
MBBS, MRCGP
Dr W.A.W.R. Kumara is a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner who recently commenced practice in Victoria, Australia. He brings over 15 years of experience in medicine, including 12 years as a General Practitioner.
Dr Kumara has a strong commitment to comprehensive and holistic general practice. He completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2022, followed by two years of structured training in General Practice. In 2024, he obtained the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP International), as a specialist qualification.
His clinical interests span all aspects of General Practice, with particular passion for General Medicine, General Surgery, Dermatology, and Mental Health. Dr Kumara is known for his compassionate, patient-centred approach, strong communication skills, and dedication to building trusting relationships with patients.
He is committed to continuous professional development and strives to continually enhance his knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to his patients.

Jennie
Jennie is a Registered Nurse with over 10+ years of experience. She moved to general practice nearly 3 years ago with a passion for diabetes understanding, management and prevention.
She brings strong skills in woundcare, health assessments and care plans. She really enjoys assisting patients with chronic health conditions and especially obesity, helping them achieve their goals.
Teagan
Teagan is an experienced healthcare professional with a diverse background across the acute hospital sector in Melbourne, aged care, community health, and interstate regional acute services. She has developed a broad skill set through working in both metropolitan and regional settings, giving her a well-rounded perspective on patient care and health service delivery.
Passionate about supporting people across all stages of care, Teagan values collaboration and providing compassionate, practical support within complex health environments.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors camping and fishing, and making the most of life's adventures with her young family.
Will Jenkins
Dietitian & Sports Dietitian | B. Sport and Exercise Science (Hons), M. Dietetics
Will is a dedicated, experienced practitioner passionate about improving clients' health through evidence-based, individualized nutrition plans. With a background spanning major Melbourne hospitals and clinics, he collaborates closely with medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
A Deakin University graduate, Will holds a Master of Dietetics alongside his Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science. He has further specialized with accreditations as a Sports Dietitian, Level 2 ISAK Anthropometrist, and Personal Trainer.
During your consultations, Will carefully reviews your medical, lifestyle, and dietary history to build and refine a tailored plan—equipping you with the tools and confidence to achieve your health goals.

Madhu Weerakoon is the dedicated Practice Manager of Morwell Medical Centre, overseeing the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic. With a strong commitment to high-quality healthcare administration, she ensures that our practitioners are well supported to deliver excellent patient care, while maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment for all patients.
Madhu is also a founder of Loch Street Medical Centre in Yarragon and currently serves as the Practice Manager of Drouin Family Medical Centre. Her extensive experience across multiple practices reflects her leadership, organisational expertise, and dedication to continuous improvement in primary healthcare services.
